Anker Roav Dash Cam C1 Pro

Roav is a new brand from Anker that is very well known for its power banks and charging solutions, this brand is for the car accessories. The new Roav Dash Cam C1 pro is the updated version of the old C1. It comes in a nice new packaging with very well designed graphics on it, showing the specs and images of the dash cam. After opening the box, the first thing presented is the dash cam itself, very neatly placed in a protective housing, underneath it there is the two usb car adaptor and a very long micro usb wire for connection to the camera. There is one more thing! - A 32GB micro SD card is also included with the dash cam, compare to many other vendors this is a really nice touch, it means you can use it directly without the need to hunt for a compatible card.

Installation couldn't be easier, just find a suitable position on the windscreen and peer off the sticky pad then connect to the cigarette adaptor and thats it! At first run it will ask you to format the micro SD card and set the time.

I use the dash cam all the time -- meaning when I am driving I don't have to do anything it just turn on itself and start recording, I don't need to press on/off button and when I park my car turn off the engine it turns itself off after 10 seconds.

There are a few great advantages of this dash cam:
  1. Image quality, the resolution goes up to 2K: 2560x1440 at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps, I generally use the latter as more frame per second gives better still images when the video is paused.
  2. Very visible even at low light or sudden change with the light condition.
  3. GPS enabled: with the bundled app you can see where you car was at any point of the video.
  4. Parking monitoring: this feature is great you can set the sensitivity even the dash cam is off if someone bumps into your car the dash cam will activate and record 30 seconds of video.

I would highly recommend this to anyone that needs a dash cam, and here is the Amazon UK Link

Anker USB C Charger, 18W PIQ 3.0 Fast Charger Adapter, PowerPort III Nano USB C Wall Charger

The Anker new 18W USB-C charger comes in traditional Anker blue and white packaging: Inside there is the charger and documents including manual and the "Happy Card". Comparing to my iPad Air charger and also my iPhone charger, it is clearly a winner, the iPad charger is 12W and iPhone is merely 5w, but similar sized Anker one is 18w.  Plugged into the UK socket, it leaves a very small footprint and doesn't affect anything else, comparing to my MacBook Pro's charger the Anker one is like a baby :) Then I tested charging various devices: Anker PowerCore Essential 20000 PD: Xiaomi Mi 8: Nintendo Switch: and my trusted iPhone 7 Plus (no fast charging but good to see backward compatibility): Conclusion : The new Anker 18W USB-C charger is clearly the winner, it is the first charger build into a UK plug shaped body, very compact in size, thanks to the GaN technology it provides a whooping 18W charging for the size. iPhone Cable, Anker PowerLine II Lightning Cable 1.8m

The first thing this Anker PowerLine II Lightning Cable strikes is how long it is, at 6 feet it suits perfectly for me to put beside my bed and I can use and charge my iphone while lying on the bed. It is super simple to use, just like the stock cable plug and play, you can plug on a wall socket, computer or a powerbank. The build quality is really good, a lot thicker than the Apple one and a lot cheaper too! I have seen people dragging a car using this cable and it still works! That would definitely help when my two year old pulling my phone while charging (That’s how I lost my apple one). This is now my favourite cable and I am thinking to buying another one to use in my office too.

Anker Eufy Lumos Smart Bulb

Eufy is a new brand from Anker that is very well known for its power banks and charging solutions, this brand is for the home appliances like robot vacuum cleaner. The new Eufy Lumos Smart Bulb is a new product to the family, a lightbulb that can be turned on and off by using a smart phone app. Compare to the many other smart light bulb, Lumos has a great advantage: no hub or bridge is needed, only wifi signal that is available in most homes. this smart bulb I have is just white but they also do a coloured version. In test I have my wifi router at 1st floor and I have no problem control my light bulb on the ground floor even at the furthest point away, the light bulb is very bright at 800 lumen. One thing I would like to see it improve is to have IFTTT support, which would open a whole new world to have different conditions that automatically turn on/off the light bulb. 💡 I would recommend for people who need a smart light bulb, you can get from here:  Amazon Link ...
